Everything's a Blessing Big Guy.....,
I don't know if you remember me Magilla,as we've only met twice,
but you have my deepest empathy.
Besides late computer nights and of course my history of herbalism &
Surf Jealousy, I chose my E-name partly because I've twice had retinal
detachment surgery as a teenager, and this past summer, cataract surgery on my right eye. It's been legally blind since I was 13. The complications of the cataract surgery left me completely in the dark last Aug., and incapacitated all Sept. Verrry Scarey!!! (Fine now,Give Thnx!)
( No Larry Ville this Fall tho,...lol!)
Ya I know....depressing,...who gives a sh@t, ...but, the point is this,
...the upside of these "Blessings is if it helps you realise how lucky
you've already been in your life,
(compared to literally billions of people)
and how lucky you still are!
You've already had a boat load of stoke,(which you share generously!)
and I'm certain you've a schooner full yet to come bro,
Keep the faith.....Jah Bless!!~ _________________ "Hey look, ... it's a Turdle !"

| You've gotta be tough to surf on the lakes in January, I know you can beat this. Get through it and we'll see you back in the water before you know it. My heart and prayers are with you...get well soon. |

Magilla,
I was paging through my copy of Surfing's Greatest Misadventures this morning, shortly after learning of your challenge, and came upon your inscription which begins, "Welcome to the family of the Great Lakes." We'd only met but once or twice when you welcomed me into the family that you've fostered.
My message to you, Chief: Remember that you have a huge family standing behind you and beside you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here for you and will help in any way we can. Besides, what physical ailment can truly challenge a guy who takes on 20 Degree Wind Chill Factors for pleasure!
See you in the drink,
Bob Timkey |
