Spent 3 months in Oz last year testing boards, meeting shapers, surfers etc.
I was lucky enough to hang out with Bert Burger who invented the technology behind Firewire surfboards, Tom Wegener who makes some of the most high end hollow long boards out there, and is one of the many surf stars in the movie 'Sprout' Both were awesome guys showed me how they build their boards and lots of good tips on how to improve my shaping
Also met WCT star Troy Brooks and watched the Super Bank go off while DeanO, Mick, Parko and many others towed each other into massive swells during what many mags. called the best winter on the east coast in 30 years
mmmmmmmm Fishy things in the FIVE shop
1) 6'8" Fat Boy Fish Twin Fin
2) 6'7" RNF Light House Fish Quad
3) 7'0" Super Fish Quad
This is the board i built for the trip to Oz 6'6 x 19 3/4 x 2 3/8
Heres some pics from the trip
Spent the first month cruising up and down the coast in our little camper van chasing down swell and the last 2 months on the Gold Coast
